I've embedded a framerate comparasion of the 360 and PS3 version of Bayonetta. taken from youtube, by digital foundry, and these guys do their homework.

interestingly - what is evident is that the game has SIGNIFICANT framerate drops on the PS3. the game isnt even locked at 30FPS, yet the 360 version performs a lot better at a regular 60FPS, with partial drops.

what is quite interesting is that i platinumed the game. and i did it mastering the "Dodge Offest" mechanic. and tbh, while there were some screeen tearing problems i felt the action was still highly responsive while extremely fast and tight. and we have drops to about 24FPS in some cases on the PS3 version. what i'm saying is that i didnt notice slowdowns during my playthrough of Bayonetta. (i did play it a year ago), but still my point is that DmC could still supprise us despite the framerate drops UE3 is know for.

that is barring that Ninja Theory and Capcom havnt discovered a way of getting more from the engine. its possible they are compensating for the framerate drops by reducing the level of detail, lighting, etc things like that.

the reason this is relevant is because UE3 typically performs better on the 360 rather than the PS3. and thus there pretty much good reason to believe that the PS3 version will be worst than the 360version.
