You know, it's easy for you to ask for evidence that 2 million people bought a system for one game, but unless someone has done a poll stating such a thing, of course I can't prove that. Do you have any evidence for those statistics either? I'd be very curious to see some professional polls done on that topic. Until then, I'm just guessing, yes, but most people I've talked to or read on forums mentions they bought Xbox for Halo 1 or 2.

If you have evidence that 20 million of Xbox owners did not purchase it for either Halo 1 or Halo 2, I'd like to see it. That's 4 million less than have purchased it, so if you can't find 20 million that did not buy the console for Halo or Halo 2, then at least 2 million bought it for one or the other.

Same thing for the 360. Give me evidence that 8 million people did not buy a 360 knowing that they would purchase Halo 3 and would not have gotten it otherwise.

I'm glad we agree on everything else, though.

EDIT: And no, I am not suggesting MGS4 will sell as well as Halo 3, I'm defending that a game could be sought after enough to warrant 2 million people buying a system just for the game. Although, there is less than a million difference between Halo 1 and MGS1/2 (not combined). Just sayin...
