at release, i think both games were pretty much on par - what one lacked, the other made up for. the difference for me has been the version updates on GT5; it's a much better game now than it was on release, and now has a slight edge over F3 imo.
however, I wonder which strategy is best - updating an existing game to new and improved levels gradually (i.e. GT5) or 'saving up' the updates for a full new release of the game (i.e. Forza series)
still waiting for 2010-2011 car lineup update dlc PD!
