| Machina said: Closest I get to one is (oh boy, Barozi's gonna find this so ironic if he sees this post) - Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta (65% Meta). The Meta is harsh. I feel it's underappreciated in a sense, because most people but this close to the bottom when they rank the Fallout 3 DLC packs, but in my opinion it's far and away the best; I enjoyed it more than most of the full game. |
I couldn't disagree more. Mothership Zeta is by far the worst piece of DLC I've EVER bought and the only good thing that came of me getting it was that free theme Bethesda gave away for a limited time to those who bought all the DLC of the game. I remember when Operation Anchorage came out, there was a huge fuss about it being extremely combat oriented. Enter Mothership Zeta and it's got Anchorage's problems and more. You're fighting the same enemies, in the same ship, over and over ad nauseum. Run down a hallway, here comes 5 aliens. Enter a room, here's 5 more aliens. Simply calling it repetitive is a disservice to games that are repetitive- it's just freaking annoying. Another reason most people didn't find it enjoyable because the ship wasn't a large area you could explore (a la The Pitt, Point Lookout, and to a certain extent Anchorage) and it didn't continue the story and increase the level cap like Broken Steel did.
Sorry I went all ranty there, I don't severely dislike very many games, but I hate Mothership Zeta with an absolute passion. It was a great idea executed horrendously.
