Currently in Kearney (I think is how it is spelled) Nebraska. I think we have about 375 miles to Colorado Springs, Colorado tomorrow :)

Why are you going to the Springs? Also, I send you a big welcome from my hometown.

There is a AAA minor league baseball team called the Sky Sox that play there.  For no particular reason, my dad and I decided we wanted to watch a couple games of theirs while on our way out west.  They happened to win both games, which was surprising considering they played Reno, who was first in their division.

On topic, to keep all updated, I have since went into the mountains and camped a couple nights.  It was slightly depressing compared to normal, since it was very windy, and there was extremely fine sand in the air that literally got in EVERYTHING.  I am now in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Our intentions are to make it to Las Vegas tomorrow to watch another game or two of minor league baseball (it just so happens the Colorado Springs Sky Sox are playing them).

Go Sky Sox and too bad you had a windy camping experience. The camping here is still cold in June and you can even snowboard on some of the highest peaks. Have fun on the rest of your trip.

Trust me, I know about the snow.  Where we went camping, we decided we wanted to go out a back way (which also would have cut about 75 miles off the distance towards our destination).  This was in south/southwest Colorado (that we went camping).  The back way I found in our Delmore Atlas just so happened to have to go up to about 11,500 feet to cross some mountains.  Well, on the top of this back way, there was SOOOOO much snow.  We actually wound up turning around because the road had about 5 feet of snow covering it in a spot.  It was still pretty sweet going up there though, so fortunately we didn't consider it time wasted

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
