yes he is correct if the Wii U was ONLY an HD wii
but its not just an hd wii, it has that new controller.
if ps4 and 720 just release with more powerful machines then same should be said about them. as pointed out by many, the graphics are really good right now. you aren't going to get 100's of millions of poeple wanting to upgrade to a ps4 on just slightly better visuals. its needs something fresh and new.
nintendo is betting thier controller is going to be that fresh and new thing. Now what will microsoft and sony do for their FRESH and NEW thing?
