then again you can't compare PC and console for the most part..... the life cycle of a PC is way shorter... the cost is different.... the general use is different.... even a console is not just for gaming.... a PC is def not unless you have to much money or put all you have in that hobby.....
since dream cast and until XB I used to be exclusively a PC gamer... but that stuff is way too expensive and time consuming for me now that I have a real job.... and that I pay everything myself lol.... and that I don't want an ugly desktop sitting in a room or to have to dedicate a room to an office space.....
I switch my money to a console and a 6K home theatre system at least that last longer and I just have to change the console really at each gen and maybe the display.....
but I agree kinect is a mid gen tech.... it is something that will either be improved with next gen or let down.... even though I'd like it to be developped... they should put 3 sensors all wireless and with their own small CPU to pre calculate and track everything in real 3D you add to that color recognition with little colored finger tips and you really don't need a controller...
the next step would to find a way to give some sensorial feedback to the player... kind of hard in thin air
