What can I say? This is probably my favorite 2011 release so far. The graphics actually made me cringe the first time I tried it but now I sorta like them.....a lot. The controls were confusing at first because the tutorial didn't really do a good job of teaching but now, I can shoot an Orc (they're not Orcs) in the face while doing a cartwheel and casting a spell. The story is kinda "meh" but yet I can't get enough of the two main character's banter. The split screen was disappointing but I find myself playing splitscreen and online for hours on end.
If I had to rate it based on traditional standards, I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. But I somehow managed to work through this games flaws and find that it has some awesome and fun puzzles (but you have to venture off of the beaten path--trust me!), some great action sequences, great co-op, and a surprise twist ending that made me start over almost immediately after I beat the game. For you, it's almost certainly going to be a below average game. For me, this is an 8 out of 10. I can't stop playing it!
