I dunno, as I actually see FFX as game of the Century as compared to the others they listed, some people might dissagree with it's characters, but I consider the game to be flawless in it's execution.
I saw no glitches... like... none... creepy...
The environments were GORGEOUSLY detailed, the worlds were colorfull and vibrant with most of the mosters full of character (beasts fealt like beasts, aeons were breathtaking (best ifrit I've ever seen in a FF) )
The love interest wasn't bad :P a bit cheesy, but it needed to be. The characters had a decent ammount of feel to them (should you choose to give it) and the ending was emotional and great (IMO).
Best Mini-game Evar!!! I friggin loved blitzball XD
And the whole game fealt empowering. Every overdrive used (great system btw), every spell casted, every Aeon summoned... simply brilliant!
Turn based combat seemed to flow, the game was just perfect for a JRPG, and the only thing that could get in the way was a person's personal taste, but from a designer/development standpoint, I don't see anything that rivals it's quality in presentation. It took what I thought the PS2 at the time was capable of and shattered it :P Hell the game STILL looks good by today's standards. Definately worthy of "Best FF in the Series", although I prefered 6 :P I can see why it gets the praise it honestly deserves.
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
