I sense this isn't going to end well, even if I agree. I maintain that the last great FF was 6, after that, only 9 was good, and post-9, only 12 is acceptable. I know that for me, it's Square's love of graphics and desire to make movies that killed off the series for me. I get bored watching things unfold, when I'm expecting to create the unfolds. And it's not that I'm burnt out on the concepts; Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 are both in my top 20 games of all time. But FF... well... the gameplay was lost. It's all about the graphics and some semblence of story. Story is good, but not at the expense of gameplay. And graphics... meh. I could tell apart my white mage from a white wizard, let alone a black mage, so that's all I care...
