He is probably right in the fact that they need to take Sony Online Entertainment into a new direction. They have done a superb job over the last few years in alienating their core market. So they do need to go some place where their poor reputation is less likely to proceed them.
Unfortunately based on their track record I would expect a few things from this title. I expect the product to suffer from an overabundance of game breaking bugs. I expect the free play to be ridiculously restricted, and probably downright punitive. Finally I expect the game to be severely lacking in the area of entertainment.
Honestly I think Sony would do well for themselves if they were the cut this bleeding stump of a division off. Sell it to someone else, or spin it off. All they have done for years on end is generate a negative perception of Sony. This division is a major reason for Sony boycotts. Hell I know dozens of gamers who will not touch a Sony product, because of something SOE did to them.
