Nintendo did a bad job at telling people what this controller will be used like. I think this is not a normal controller used to play 4 player games. From what we've seen it will be used for the following things:

1) Games that feature multiple perspectives like the ones demonstrated at e3

2) Streaming your games from the TV to the controller when someone's watching TV

3) For single player games that use classic controller layout (and online multiplayer)

4) For things like drawing (uDraw), board games, internet and such

The "standart" controller for the console will be the Wii Remote (including Nunchuk, Classic Controller, etc.) and the tablet controller will be more of a hardware add-on.

It all comes down to how Nintendo handles this. Will the tablet be forced on us in every game in a gimmicky way? Will we get optional control options (like Wiimote or tablet / classic controller for most games, which would be awesome)?

What I'm worried about the most is that Nintendo will force us to use the tablet. On the other hand all multiplayer games will require Wiimote or Classic Controller support.

The more "optional" this new controller is the happier I will be. Using this an interactive map while playing Mario Kart is cool - but only if we want to. Using this to throw balls in Wii Sports is cool - but only if we want to. Hell I hope they don't force this into all games.
