I think we're still getting enough core games to be happy... If I think about just three of the games I'm getting the rest of this year:
Ico Collection
MGS Collection
Uncharted 3
Then that's more than enough to keep me very entertained.
But I get your point, especially how MS have done a 360 
in the last 2 years.
