There’s two versions of the console available for pre-order at launch; a WiFi only model which is available for £228.85 and a 3G enabled model, which is going for the slightly higher, but still great value, price of £278.84.

Initial pricing was only available for the United States, where the Vita will cost $249 (£150) for the WiFi only and $299 (£183) for the 3G model.

these are the currency conversion done by the BBC
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-13678489

so 228.85-150=£78.85
and 278.84-183=£95.84 nearly a £100 more than others are paying, :(

You haven't taken VAT into consideration, as US price excludes sales tax, and UK price includes VAT.

So? 20% Vat on top of £150? That's only £180, yet it says £230? Where has the other £50 come from? Maybe this conversion is based on the after tax price of that Europe get it for.

Lets see, 250 Euro to £223, a more reasonable conversion there but that jsut means but then 250 Euros is the same as $366, Europe are forking out for the US cheapness.

Hmm, pie.
