CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 2 is with out a doubt one of the most mature role-playing experiences to grace the PC in recent years. Earlier this month the Polish developer announced that the critically acclaimed RPG would make its presence felt on the Xbox 360, this year and 100% intact. After getting some eyes-on time with a 20-minute demo tucked away upstairs in a meeting room at E3 I can confidently say that CD Projekt RED looks to be getting the most out of the Xbox 360 and is set to deliver the most mature RPG game to consoles ever, by year’s end. CD Prjekt RED’s presentation of The Witcher 2 was quite impressive for how early in development the game is. Console RPG fans have much too look forward to this year, see our review for more details. Hopefully they can get the game out before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, unfortunately no details were given about if this will hapen. http://www.gamexplain.com/article-471-1307479782-e3-2011-the-witcher-2-xbox-360-bullet-point-preview.html
All the great mature content of the PC version will make it into the Xbox 360 version. With an ESRB rating already established for the game on PC every drop of blood, coarse language and sensual piece of flesh will not be censored.
CD Projekt RED has a philosophy of never charging for DLC on PC. This will hold true for Xbox 360. On top of that all PC DLC will be made available for the console version. As for exclusive DLC... well nothing has been decided as of yet.
CD Projekt RED is making sure that the Xbox 360 version is not only as competent as the PC version, but entices those who have already played the Witcher to on PC reason to double-dip. Kinect support is ruled out and as of right now the ability to remap buttons cannot be confirmed.
