Kinda agreed, partnership of those both companies would have meant domination of the market even to the present day, however I think Nintendo done well for themselves either way - in both the handheld and the home console market. Wii is the market leader, DS was the market leader. 3DS success is yet to be determined, but they're still making A LOT of money.
