PS3 wasn't the most powerful console when all three were out, it also was the first out, not in the middle, it was never behind the GCN or the Xbox, it was never twice as much as the GCN or Xbox, sorry but your comparison between the PS2 and PS3 is hopelessly flawed
LOL, is that the only reason, why PS3 won`t DOMINATE as PS2 did? LOL.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
