If I can play them on the NGP (with its two analog stick goodness) then yeah; MGS 3D on the 3DS does lose a lot of its appeal.
On the other hand, if the 3DS port has enough extra features (as someone who actually likes the 3D effect, this is one of them), I may end up buying it anyway. It's not like I haven't already bought three separate versions of MGS3 on the PS2.
