the phones werent slow, the software was crappy. As for android, they need to work on the battery life, the look as well, thus why i get HTC versions. They need a better music and video player. But besides that, they have the best os for smartphones for heavy users. Btw, i think WebOS is the best smartphone OS period. No one can match their multitasking. |
HTC was the only company that made Windows Mobile phones in the US, that I know of. HTC's overlaying software was what made the phones slower than they needed to be, that along with carrier bullshit software. M$ wanted all that to go away. They were ruining the way the OS operated and I guess ruined the image of the Windows Mobile brand. You had 2 or even 3 layers of software running ontop of eachother. Lots of people started hacking the phones to remove all that crap and making custom roms to get the phones down to the basic software. Android is faring better, because there is way better hardware on phones now then Windows Mobile ever did. Google came out at just the right time with Android.
I am disappointed that they stripped lots of functionality from Windows Phones compared to Widowns Mobile. What I love the most out of Windows Phone 7, no more overlaying software, just what I need in front of me. That is the best trade-off. Mango is also brining lots of that stuff back and more.
