I don't think a company can effectively promote two major motion controllers (and still do a good job)
So if you asking if Nintendo should've supported Kinect-like tech instead of Wii tech, I say no
You may think of it as a mistake, but think about it this way ... Every time something becomes popular there will be those who will think *why didn't I/we/they think of that?* - - - - - - No mistakes made, just someone thought of a good applicaition and it payed off for them
