Me and my Wife recently got new phones.
She opted for the new HTC Desire S Android phone. Very Nice piece of kit.
I opted for the Samsung Omnia 7 WP7 Phone.
Both phones replaced an IP3GS and a BlackBerry.
Niether the IPhone or Blackberry in all honesty holds a candle to either of our new phones. And it's difficult to realy tell the WP7 OS or the Android apart in almost all areas.
What I will say is WP7 OS on thee Omnia 7 is the fastest phone Ive used yet. As my first WP I am surprised by how intuitive the Tile system really is. Something whichh on it's own is above all other Phone operating systems. Xbox Live integration is amazing. More games are to come, but there is currently now a great selection of games and Gamerscore. ;)
I also love the fact that one payment for music of £89.99/year gives me access to any music anytime on my Phone, PC or 360 as it's all linked to my Xbox Live account. Whereas my Wife has to pay £7.99/ Album via Androids and has to store it ( I dont have to store ).
Same with films. What I buy once I can stream or download on any device ( 360, Phone or PC ) all linked to my one Live account.
Apps are now just as abbundant as Androids although not quite what Apple has yet, but more are added on a hourly basis sometimes.
The screen is the best Ive seen with AMOLED, and is more responsive than my old IPhone.
Without a doubt, if you own a 360 and use Zune Marketplace that is a massive when choosing WP7 over any other martphone. The intergration is something no other Smartphone can do.
As touched on at the start the Hardware is fast. Everything is instant. The HD Video is great and the camera is perfect.
Well worth looking into. IMO one of the best Smartphones on the market. And THE best if you use Xbox Live already.
