That glitchy homebrew example is probably the best possible way to inplement Kinect controls into an FPS. And there is next to no chance of developers using hybrid controls, a controller has to occupy both hands, not one. You need to stop being so defensive and take these criticisms onboard, 17 buttons and 2 analogues cannot be replicated by body movements in a retail game. People don't want to wiggle their middle finger to jump, people would rather use a controller. I'm just hoping somebody backs me up here, Kinect controls will have to remain casual, the theme of a game might be hardcore but you will never see a full retail hardcore game work well with Kinect controls. Maybe we need to do one of these "bets" that people often put in their sigs. |
I'm not being deffensive at all... in fact, you're the one that came in here with some sort of agenda besides the OP it seems. I was merely trying to enlighten you, but to no avail it seems.
Also, since when did anyone specify only FPS? And again, you are only thinking of gaming in a traditional controller based sense. You cannot seem to even begin to think outside of the norm. All things evolve, and with each evolution there are always those unwilling to accept it, but as history shows, those are the ones that are quickly forgotten.
