It won't be costly at all as MS will use blu-ray. Blu-ray was clearly not needed this gen and MS will make the appropriate move next gen to meet the needs of storage and development.

I'm pretty sure they might have to buy into blu ray, its not just as simple as saying they are going to use it next gen which leads me back to my point, it will be costly for them next gen
MS believe DD is the way to go, they'll simply use a beefed up HDDVD, as long as it play DVD's it's fine.
Heck they could even go the flash route too....just have games on flash drives like USB's or something like that....it wouldn't be that expensive either seeing as you can pretty much get 16GB flash drives for $8 or so and it will only get cheaper from there.
$8 for 16gb flash???? It costs only about $0.70 for a 25gb Blu Ray
But those are retail costs so you know companys can get them for much much much much much cheaper. I seriously bet MS could use 32GB flashdrives of sorts and they would only cost them around a dollar or two because in 2 years technology like that will be even way more uber cheap.

I think games might go even bigger than 32gb though, they are at thats stage now with ps3 games and its not even the end of the generation yet,so next gen will be even bigger, say with big releases such as cod games yes i could see that fitting on a 32gb flash card but i dont see it being cheap, 11 million flash cards will be a bit more expensive than the 11 million DVD9's or blurays discs
