Well, as much as I'd love to recommend Metal Slug for everyone, I realize it's not a franchise most people on this forum would enjoy. But if you're into funny, fast-paced, unforgiving, extremely replayable arcade-style action, I wholeheartedly advise you to buy it.
If you're interested, I say start out with Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii, PS2, and PSP.
