@Mr. Khan i think you vastly overestimate the appeal of 2d platformers. IMHO a Sonic game like the one you described will not come anywhere near the DKC & NSMB games. Those games sell because of the Mario names. A Sonic game would do 1 and a half mil tops

Then explain the discrepancy between Galaxy 1-2s and NSMBWii's sales. There's a demand for good, solidly built 2d platformers
