Well, the early 80's was a long time ago. While I can still hang with the youngsters in games like Street Fighter, and such, I find myself having a harder and harder time surviving in games like Call of Duty (I got a message from a little kid about a week ago that said "U R Lame and Gay") or Splosion Man. |

OT: The thing I like most about cinematics games is the atmosphere they bring is unmatched in other media formats. Playing a survival horror game is 10x scarier than watching a horror film these days imo
Also, since you spend so much following the game's story (vs. 1-2 hours for a movie) really makes you grow attached to the characters and world. I usually feel sad near the end of games like that, that rarely happens in a movie for me
That and game stories and world are about 100x more epic than the average movie plot/setting
I doubt stories like those of games like Tales of Symphonia and Kingdom Hearts could be found in a movie/on tv
