Actually, I just thought of something. If you have a heatgun, you can take your PS3 apart and apply heat to the GPU and CPU to reflow the solder. I had to do this to my 60 GB BC PS3. Lasted about 2 or 3 months, may have been a little more. That should get you back up in running to at least get your free games until you come up with a more permenant solution.
