Well the same logic goes for your quote from kungkras... He never said that the OP felt bad, just that it seemed like he feels bad
So why is he worried about some company instead of his own rights as a customer? That, to me, seems a bit strange :| @bolded: The OP is stating that "Sony's reward program is too generous", not the same thing |
I see have any kind of discussion with haters is impossible.
Yes, that is my exact point about kung. Kung's first argument was to flame the OP, by saying "you are a customer, you should not worry about these things".
OP is making a point that he was going to buy games, and now that he got several ones for free, is putting off buying those other games. In the OP, he even asks for acknowledgement by asking for anecdotes. A customer or not, on vgchartz we often talk about the business aspects, goals, successes and failures. It is obvious in this first post by kungkras, that he was criticizing the OP, saying that OP was "worried".
Talking about something is not worrying. KungKras spun the situation, and when I called him on it, blatantly says "it's LIKE he was sad for the company".
Fact of the matter is OP made a valid point, and a good question, and Kungkras basically called him a fanboy with his tone.
A better argument would be to say, "perhaps they are too generous, but how much is it worth to keep the customers happy? Sony had a huge fall..they understand how dire it was, given Kaz Hirai's 7 second bow. In the end, I think that the free games are really the least they can do. The games are old, and have sequels out, and so to Sony's benefit, the games may actually inspire purchase of their sequels, like infamous 2 when it comes out"
