You shouldn't expect others to believe you when you speak of the supernatural, because really, you only have your own experiences to back up your beliefs. Whether you're right or not, there's no way to prove it to anybody. And then there's the problem of perception vs. reality. It's easy to believe that what you experience is real; it's pretty much what we humans do by default. It's far harder to believe that what you experience might not be real, or that you're misinterpreting it; that requires you to break out of the instinctual desire to believe what your senses and immediate conclusions are telling you. Doing that is anti-survivalist at the basest level, but it's also how many discoveries are made.
To be clear, I meant you no offense. I simply tend to favor the path of questioning what I (and others) perceive, in hopes of finding a more definite answer. You can blame the professors up at the college for that.
