Is there nobody out there understanding that Ninty gave 3rd parties a chance?

After the release of Zelda, Mario and Kart alone, it will be more difficult for 3rd party obv.

Nintendogs is a game built for the younger audience (you can still enjoy it as grown-up 4sure) and i think the price tag is too high for that group, compared to DS family.

After price drop this game will pick up in sales, imo.

I can't see any ship sinking here. It just left the harbour, son!

Nintendo is stupid for what they did and you are wrong. After the release of Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart it will be easier for third parties to sell their games, because more people will own the hardware. What has been holding back third party software sales on Nintendo systems all along was third party games, not Nintendo games.

lol@Rol

that's the answer i waited for...

It's somehow true, more HW sales lead to more SW sales, obv; you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand.

Yes, 3rd parties SW sales failed on Wii and somehow on DS because their SW sucks, means lazy ports etc. (By the way, without some of the better selling SW on DS and Wii (better selling? wtf do i write? some of these games sold more than PS360 combined and i don't have to list it, should i?) many studios would have been f***ed up, means they would be bankrupted)

But what else could Ninty do to change that?

The answer is: delay of the own SW!

You know: Ninty tried it last time (DS) with your mentioned strategy. Releasing system sellers, leading to incredible HW sales. But 3rd party sales failed in some way (to be honest, they failed compared to Nintys SW. They got what they deserved and more, if you ask me, and far more than what a fair market price would be)

What else could Ninty do?

The answer is given!

If 3rd party can't sell the system it's not Nintys fault, but they at least gave them a chance.

That's it!
