Cause Americans then wouldn't know what a Quarter Pounder is anymore... Quarter Pounder >>> Metric system

But think about it. You could have a quarter kilo burger!!

Actually that is pretty close to a quarter kilo burger,  That burger is a Double Quarter Pounder w/cheese,  the 2 patties  add up to about 230 grams.

Wouldn't a double quarter pounder be a half ponder?

Anyway, in that case 250g would be standard. So you can get a half kilo too.

But really, the metric system is much easier and makes much more sense than the imperial one, but I also understand that those that are used to something don't wanna change it, so my attitude towards this issue is officially "whatever".

Yes it is,  they call it the Double Quarter Pounder cause the Pattie is a Quarter Pound pattie, plus they already have a burger called the Quarter Pounder,  so adding a 2nd patty and just adding the word Double was simple

Also each pattie is a quarter pound before being cooked.  (I think.)

Yes that is true,  I believe that is the way oit is everywhere,  at least in the US

Well I mean that way they can say it's two quarter pund patties.

They can't reall say it's a half pound though cause it isn't combined after it's cooked.

Maybe i'm just throwing legaliese in where it doesn't belong though.
