If you travelled at light speed from here to Gliese, do you know how much time would have passed for those who were looking forward to 20 years of space school? 0 seconds! This how how we can detect muons in mines many km under the surface, and is the basis of the twin paradox.

You beat me to it. I'm not very familiar with this science, but the nearer we get to light speed, the slower time becomes until the point we reach light speed, where time essentially stops, correct?

Essentially you are right, but you can't reach the speed of light (if you have mass).

It's why "FTL travel" if it exists will be found by cheating Via "Spacial Folding".
