I have a strong suspicion that the only reason a lot of members pretended to care about the hackers at all was, because they could use it as a smoke screen, or a change the subject defense. Basically they cared only for the curtain they could use to cover up Sony's abject failures. Not for the persons that were behind that curtain. The same holds true for making scapegoats out of Anonymous as a whole. The fact that this thread isn't getting more traction is pretty damning proof that it was all about defending Sony rather then a legitimate greivance against the criminals.
By the way I find it interesting that a group is taking credit, and the obvious responsibility for the attack. That shows a very real lack of fear on their part. They are really unimpressed by Sony, or criminal prosecution. Talk about a real sense of Sony being impotent. Were they this good, or was Sony just using crap hardware/software.
