Actually, the original fanbase of Killzone 2 was split roughly 50/50 on Kilzone 3 being an improvement. But considering the size of that fanbase, I don't blame GG for making K3 more "accessible". As far as sales go, that, IMO, is based more on:
-Sequel to established IP
-Much stronger platform install base.
Nothing to do with Killzone 3 being a noticeably better game.
