I don't like the direction Nintendo is taking with it - high-budget 3D entries to all of the core series. They need to continue with the DS strategy (wasn't capable of such games so creativity was forced) both for economic reasons and because the DS had something for everyone whether that be obscure JRPGs through to Brain Training. All on such low budgets that it didn't matter if 4/5 games sold <200k and gamers could enjoy the niche games.
Nintendo's heart isn't in 2D games any more, which is a shame because they absolutely haven't exploited the possibilities yet. By 'heart' I mean Iwata and Miyamoto and others don't enthusiastically talk about how they can't wait to show you them.
