All that really needs to be said regarding complaints of the current soft line up is: Really?

Is it just me, or was everyone else even remotely interested in the 3DS NOT aware of the announced initial release line up, future software release line up and related shipping dates?

Were publishers supposed to release these games earlier? No.

Have any major release dates been postponed or dropped altogether? No.

Were people expecting reams of unannounced games to be magically released shortly after the debut with no prior shipping date or press release statements? Apparently, yes.

Anyone who balked at the intial $250 price should have at least spent the 5-10 minutes to educate themselves as to what would be available upon release as well as the release schedule for whatever games they were expecting to buy for the system in subsequent months.

While I don't generally throw out blanket statements, anyone who knew this, bought the system anyway and was somehow expecting something to magically appear unannounced had completely unrealistic expectations at best, or is a complete idiot at worst.

In all likelihood, the 3DS will be a slow burner, much like the DS. Most without selective memory will recall that the DS really didn't explode in sales and demand until the DSl redesign, after which it was nearly impossible to find for the better part of a year.
