Still, she seems to have this power to send people into a screaming frenzy. |
She knows things only someone who works for a printing place would know and then also makes safe guesses. This is how she makes her predictions: - X studio is making Y type game that it is known for making
- Easy to forget prediction
- Prediction that nobody really cares about
- Obvious prediction
- Either prediction that nobody cared about or X studio/Y Genre project was cancelled.
- Big prediction
Now for the big prediction, you'll notice they always come right before those are announced on some cover. These are three recent ones (I don't read her site so I don't know them all): - Ghostbusters
- She made this announcement with a few details and *gasp* a week or so later the magazine appears with the details she talked about.
- Resistsance 2
- She makes this prediction with some details and days later it's revealed again in Game Informer (same as Ghostbusters).
- Sonic Chronicles
- Yet another big prediction (at least the name) and it appears on the cover days later in Nintendo Power.
So yeah, she either has multiple contacts that are probably around the level of secretary or perhaps a contact at a printing place.

So, she's a mag- or site-insider who doesn't mind violating NDA's... Because other 'insiders' (example: Matt Cassamasima) don't reveal stuff because they have embargo's!
She has a nickname and people don't know her true identity, so she can say whatever the fuck she wants without people from companies getting pissed at her, because they don't know who exactly the source is.
As such, she can, even if it will be revealed a few days later, say stuff before the embargo lifts which is quite nice considering we get the data/info a few days (and sometimes a few weeks/months) before we're 'allowed' to know...
