If Gears keeps up the same pre-orders until launch. Week one will have 1,769,019 pre-orders and thats at a rate of 59,730 pre-ordered a week. I think that it can easily pass Halo reach pre-orders.With weeks before launch having big numbers, I see no reason why we couldn't put up 2,000,000 pre-ordered in americas. Now passing week one sales is going to be hard but can be done. This is all up to other areas and how well gears attracts them and non pre-order buyers.

I do. Gears 2 sold 1.3 million fw in americas and you expect gears 3 to have 2 million pre-orders with what 3 million fw in america's. Anyone expecting that to happen is in for a shock. It will more likely do about 1.2 million pre-orders with around 2 million fw in americas.

You could be right but I think that gears 3 has got a really good multi-player and people who played it are raving about it. So with that and the fact that there is also no games announced for that time period. Also that it is the last game in the series, so they say, adds up to smashing gears 2 sales/pre-orders. There are a lot more Xbox 360 owners to enjoy the series to push on the numbers. All the casuals might want to step it up.
