In the case of L.A. Noire the lead guy worked on the Getaway games for Sony and L.A. Noire was once to be published by Sony, but because it was such a mess dropped it. After which Rockstar picked the project up.
I really hope Sony isn't paying for exclusive content though. Dead Space Extraction is on PSN as well and just seems a good idead to put on DS2's bluray.
Mortal Kombat has Kratos and if anything Warner Bros should be paying Sony.
Portal 2 has Steam which is just a cool thing for Valve to do and isn't possible on 360.
AC Brotherhood and Batman Arkham Asylum have exclusive content as well. I hope it's just because of good relation between Sony and the publishers.
