Should I get the GC version of the original Resident Evil game?

NJ5 here, I can't log into my account so I'm using this one instead (already emailed ioi about it).

Thanks everyone for the replies, I have just ordered an used black GameCube controller, an extremely cheap (also used) memory card and a used version of the first Resident Evil game for a total of 51 €, i.e. about what a Wii game costs nowadays. All in all a pretty good deal as long as the controller is in good condition (it's supposed to be).

I think I'll play this one, and then if I like it I'll go on to play RE2, RE3 and RE4, I like to play series in the order they were made :)
