2012, huh? I'd bet my dick this releases the exact same week as FFXIII-2. lolnamco.

have they always been this strong in the LOGIC department or is this only happening since the merger?

Dunno, but it's definitely gotten worse since the merger. They've spent this entire generation running around like a headless chicken and seem to actively enjoy trolling the Tales fanbase.

FF13 was not good, if they release the same week i'll be getting Tales, besides they wont release in the same week, Namco were reluctant to release Tales in the west because of percieved lack of consumer demand, they not going to compete with a well established series here in the west.

anyway i think FF13-2 will not be recieved well here in the west anyway because of the damage FF13, FF14 and FF12 have done to the series, despite whatever merits they had.

Correcting. FF12 was one of the best FF to date, a little ahead of its time.

FF12 was fragments of a broken game. parts of the whole showed what couldve been and maybe even what shouldve been had Sqaure Enix had not interferred. if the game was made the way it was meant to be, the only 2 problems i can see was the difficulty - which was too inaccessible - (and i think JRPGs and WRPGs need to be accessible so they can bring in new fans) so a bit too much grinding for the first half of the game. and not enough character interaction.

i would agree with you, but FF12 alienated a lot of fans because of the intense difficulty.

I really enjoyed FF12 and the difficulty. I remember one time back in the day at that damn place Giruvegan. The damn behemoths whooped my ass so many times in that dungeon I had to take a break from the game. That never happened in a FF game before. Came back some time after and whooped everyones ass, including Yiazmat. Fun times, hope to see what style of game that team does next. (This is the team I believe is working on FFXV, since the other team is on XIII-2 atm)

Its probable, the key thing is i think they need to tone down the difficultly and improve character interaction. i loved the exploration aspect of the game, and the story was exellent for the middle portion of the game. but when i play an RPG the first time through i want to play it for the story and the characters, FF12 provided that, but the heavy level grinding meant led to a slightly unbalanced game imo. there were other problems, but looking at FF12 i think these were the 2 key problems.

and that Nechrol of Nabudis was awesome man, it felt like the graveyard of a nuclear fallout. and that music when your exploring the Sochen Cave Palace - phenominal!!!

it depends man, no word from Ito in years, only a possible hint from Minagawa that hes not denying FF15 is in the works. imo it has to be in the works or Sqaure will have only released one FF this gen - i dont count FF14 as a main installment.
