Democracy doesn't even always go hand in hand with freedom. Neither always go hand in hand with morality or humanity. I myself don't even agree with most of US democracy while I like Canadian Democracy. Evidently I don't really like Australian democracy. But freedom's and democratic rule when used hand in hand make a country better to live in. But in the end I may believe in democracy and the basic freedoms that tend to go hand in hand with it, while not agreeing with some peoples choices because they go against my morality! |
That's why there need to be things like a Constitution, and civil rights and stuff. A Democracy fails without those.
