While I'm intregued by the game, I'm unusually unsure about it given that FFXIII was not anywhere near the game it should have been. I've played most FF games multiple times, most times doing 2 pay throughs one after the other, haven't played FFXIII since I finished it the first time. But if it's a different game it could work.
That said I'm more concerned that with FFXIII and FFXIV now out, we only have 2 XIII games announced and not one peep from Final Fantasy XV.

The most exciting news for me is that the developers of FF13 are making FF13-2 and thus they might not be on FF15 - meaning it could be up to long time developer Hiryouki Ito to revive whats left of the series. and possibly he will be backed by the FF12 team, who we have had no word from in years.
and i'm willing to bet FF13-2's sales are going to be abysimal!

An interesting thought and one I like. FF12, while not as FF as I would have expected, was a fantastic game in itself. FF12 team (Ivalice team?) might be working on a new title for the Ivalice world. Would be nice to go back there again.

Imo, FF12 was a good game, but it needed to be refined. the key problem i had with the game was i had to level grind the whole way - they really need to make the formula more accessible, focus on character development a bit more and i think they have a excellent game on their hands.
Hiroyuki Ito has been there since FF4 and he co-directed FF6, directed FF9 and co-directed FF12, so i think its a good chance theres already something in development - however i'm wouldnt put money on it!
