Yes. It is definately the best version. REmake is also the scariest. Definately worth it. But I'd say that Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever, and that you should buy that first (get the Wii version, only $30). One thing about pre-4 games is that they control like a tank, and you turn around slowly. There also isn't the over-the-shoulder camera while shooting. Each room has only one angle you can view it from, which allowed Capcom the ability to make it look so good graphically. However, the Resident Evil series is still amazing, and well worth the purchase.
