The UK is the "United Kingdom" of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Great Britain (Britain) is England, Scotland and Wales.
The UK parliament is based in London, which governs the whole of the UK. But Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland I believe have devolved powers. These powers, however, are limited and the UK parliament still has the "final say" if they don't agree with decisions made my the devolved governments.
The current UK government is a Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition, and the Scottish Government is currently SNP (Scottish National Party). They just won the election this month.
Everyone in the UK votes for a General Election. People in Scotland vote for the Scottish elections (naturally). There is a bit of controversy this time though because the SNP have been promising a referendum on independence, and David Cameron (leader of the Conservative party and thus primus inter pares of the UK government's cabinet) is fiercely opposed to it.
