I'm just going to point out here that Nintendo's kiddy image can be traced back to Mortal Kombat on the SNES not having any blood. That's what... 20 years ago, and that shit still sticks with them today.
If Sony get a bad rep from this, it's going to be interesting to see them try to throw it off. I wouldn't read too much into these stories of trade ins though, I'd only think they'd be concerned if these stories continued to pop up and sales declined at the same time, and that's going to be a more medium term thing before we can see that impact if it even happens.
