Though liking to pretend to be an uncaring pirate, he takes responsibilty for his actions (or those of his family previously), is pragmatic, always gets the job done and is a total charmer whilst still having the air of the mysterious 'bad boy' going on
Plus, it looks like Fran already has him under the thumb, Mission half accomplished there, haha
