RROD is the biggest reason why I don't want to buy a 360. If I buy electronics I want them to last and if a failure is almost guaranteed (or if I get that impression), then I'm not interested. |
Slim fixed all that and the later phat models had much less chance to RROD, hell i have yet to hear of one that was manufactured in 2009, that has broken down. In 2007 RROD was a huge thing, today its basically like YLOD; it happens, but not to many people (unless you got an old console).
If you have a fat PS3 (i do) i would be much more worried about that than a 360 thats from 2009 and forth as you still within the warranty plus they are better made than the fiasco that was the first models. If you are going out to buy a new console today, both are fine and you should not have a problem with them except maybe with the drives, but since games can be played from the HDD on both consoles now days, you shouldn't have to worry about that either.
