How are they not helping the consumer? What shit is it off their nose if the game goes multi a year later unless there a fanboy and can't handle it? |
I would say they are decuieving the consumers by saying it is an exclusive rather than telling the truth and saying we have exclusivity for a year. That way it gives people the choice of will I buy it from MS to play now or decide to wait to play it on a platform of choice. As for myself I feel like it is cheating a big proportion of gamers out of playing the game at the same time just to twist the consumers arm into buying something from your company. I buy COD for my 360, but I still think they cheat PS3 players out of new maps and content by paying for timed exclusivity. Also any company who does this is cheating the customer, but MS are the ones doing it the most lately.
It is impossible to know how the donation benifited the game, yet it still does not take away the deception side of things.
I assume your saying limiting options by taking out the other OS and backward compatibility otherwise I don't know wht you mean in the last part. Those actions would be considered annoying to me more if it affected me, but they don't so I look at those as smaller evils. For other, I admit it could be very annoying. I just happen to care more about playing new games I want to play rather than OS or playing the ps2 games I can still play on my ps2. I will end this by saying that it would be ludicrous to say any company is a saint. Just that some things annoy me personnaly more than others.
