Sure, it's short, but it's so well made, you'll gleefully be playing it again, trying to beat your own high scores, just because of how sheerly fun it is. (Well, if you're anything like me, at least.)

Axelay, I'll check that out. If you like also run and gun games you shouldn't miss Alien Soldier a not very famous Genesis game from Tresure (same Ikaruga developer), it's great imo. You can find it on Virtual Console.
